To fortify the strategic relationship and collaboration between iTERM and Ming Wai Lau Centre for Reparative Medicine (MWLC), Karolinska Institutet, we were pleased to have Prof. Fiona WATT, Director of the Centre for Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine under the King’s College London, a half-day visit and seminar on 6 Nov 2019.

It was an exciting meeting and sharing between the core members from iTERM, the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) and MWLC, updating their recent academic achievements and research findings, with an aim to exploring opportunities for multi-disciplinary collaborations.

A short tour of the Core Facilities

Prof. Fiona WATT and Prof. Sandra CECCATELLI, Director of MWLC had a short tour of the Core Facilities located at Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building, who were impressed by the all-round and cutting-edge equipment supported by SBS, lying a solid foundation for the faculty members of iTERM and SBS to further develop their career.

Last but not least, Prof. WATT delivered an excellent talk on ““Exploring Heterogeneity of Human Skin Cells“, successfully drew the attention of over 200 of our new and bright academics from the Faculties of Medicine, Engineering and Science.
