The Institute for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, in collaboration with the School of Biomedical Sciences and the Center for Neuromusculoskeletal Restorative Medicine, co-organized a seminar featuring Prof. Ali Mobasheri on “Challenges in the Translation of Stem Cell Research for the Development of New Cell-based Therapies for Osteoarthritis” on July 25, 2023. Prof. Mobasheri discussed the hurdles in developing effective cell-based treatments for osteoarthritis (OA). 

Prof. Mobasheri also presented his ongoing projects and grant funding, fostering discussions on collaborative opportunities between Finland and Hong Kong. We appreciate Prof. Mobasheri’s valuable insights and dedication to advancing regenerative medicine for OA. 

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Prof. Mobasheri for his informative and insightful seminar, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities in translating stem cell research for the development of new cell-based therapies for osteoarthritis.
