It is our honor to have the Financial Secretary, Mr. Paul CHAN, and the delegation from the HKSAR Government to pay a visit to our Institute on 12 Dec 2018. Prof. Rocky TUAN, Vice-Chancellor and President, and Prof. Wai-Yee CHAN, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Developments), Director of iTERM, briefly introduced the history and recent development of the major thematic research programs under iTERM, which are the most exciting fields of research nowadays.
As in the 2018-19 Budget delivered by Mr. CHAN, the HKSAR Government would spare no effort in supporting and boosting the local development of technology and innovations, with HK$10 billion additional funding for the establishment of 2 important clusters, with one focusing on healthcare technologies. And we strongly believe iTERM, as a center of excellence of the CUHK, could help facilitate and realize the impressive blueprint in the years to come.
